Nestled within the northern forests of Istanbul, Kargalı House is a multifunctional architectural space that seamlessly blends residential, commercial, and cinematic functions. Designed as a versatile structure, the house serves as a dynamic set for advertisements, films, and small-scale creative enterprises, enabling it to maintain its adaptive role beyond traditional residential use.
Perched atop a secluded hilltop formation, the site resembles an eagle’s nest, offering unobstructed 360-degree panoramic views stretching up to 50 kilometers. This unique topography ensures complete privacy, as there are no neighboring properties with direct access to the villa. To harmonize with the surrounding natural landscape, the design emphasizes lightness and transparency, featuring a floating glass house that appears to hover above the terrain. The architectural approach prioritizes minimal environmental impact, allowing the structure to blend seamlessly with its forested surroundings.
